And in some cases, it gets overlooked or forgotten about until you start seeing the quality of your 3d printed parts deteriorate significantly. Maintaining and replacing your nozzle is therefore one of the most important things you can be on top of to keep the quality of your printing up to par. Standard V6 Brass Nozzle 0.4mm / 1.75mm
Brass is the current standard material and by far the most common metal used in 3D printing nozzles, it offers great heat transfer at a relatively low cost. The current standard dimensions for these parts comply with MK8 extruders, with a total length of 12 to 13 mm from the tip to the end of the M6x1 thread.
Brass nozzles can deteriorate from everyday printing and faster if you are using harsher 3D printing filaments like carbon fiber, ASA, ABS and metal-filled filaments containing abrasive particles that can ruin the nozzle’s internal surfaces. A damaged internal bore can compromise print quality, and the catch is, this erosion is virtually impossible to spot and diagnose.
Brass Nozzle Compatibility
Compatible filament: 1.75mm PLA, PLA+, Silk PLA+, TPU & PETG.
(You can use ASA, ABS, Nylon, Wood/Metal infused and CF/kevlar infused ABS, however, these filaments will accelerate wear and tear slowly over time, which compromises the integrity of the nozzle.) Our VG3D Nozzles are compatible with almost all FDM printers fitted with an
E3D / V6 heater block. Our Brass nozzles are also designed for other 3D Printers fitted with a V6 hotend. They fit exactly like the original equipment.
