If you are looking to upgrade your 3D printer nozzle, the Hardened Steel Nozzle is one of the best upgrades you can do. It is one of the cheapest (compared to other modifications) and it is an effective upgrade.

3D Nozzle Upgrade

Hardened steel nozzles are a major upgrade to your 3D printer. They’re tough enough for constant use of abrasive materials and they offer longer use than traditional Brass Nozzles without the need for constant replacement. One of the attributes of hardened steel is lower conductivity as the material is dense therefore there is less energy transfer, and it takes a little longer to achieve the target temperature. You can’t have it both ways (performance, and longevity)

Hardened Steel Nozzle Compatibility

Compatible filament: 1.75mm PLA, PLA+, Silk PLA+, Nylon, TPU, ASA, PETG, ABS, Wood/Metal infused and CF/kevlar infused ABS.

Our VG3D Nozzles are compatible with almost all FDM printers fitted with an E3D / V6 heater block. Our tungsten-hardened nozzles are also designed for other 3D Printers fitted with a V6 hotend. They fit exactly like the original equipment.

Pros and Cons

+ Best used with: All materials, including heavy use of abrasive materials.
+ Maximum temperature: 500 °C

– Being Hardened Steel it takes a little longer than usual to reach the target temperature. You have to turn up the degrees C° higher than normal. For example; if you print at 210C° you’ll need to set the temperature at 215C°.

Compatible with most filaments on the market such as Carbon fiber, Glow in the dark, and Metal filled filaments and our hardened steel filament will help combat the wear from these filaments. With their low cost and high durability, they are an easy choice when purchasing an upgrade to your printer
